Today marks the seventh anniversary of the March 11, 2004, coordinated Madrid train bombings that killed 191 commuters and sent shock waves of terror across Spain.

Updated: According to the Canadian Press, Spaniards placed flowers at attack sites and fell silent Friday, recognizing the seven-year mark of the bombings on the city's commuter rail system that was deemed "Europe's worst Islamic (sic) terror attack."
