In the spirit of New York and New Jersey hosting Super Bowl XLVIII, there are various Super Bowl related artifacts that will be exhibited at the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

A ticket to Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000 was donated in memory of Timothy G. Byne by his sister Kathleen (photo above). Football was a passion of Timothy's, and he even played with the Syracuse Orangemen. He was able to attend Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000 before he was killed in the attacks on September 11.

An oral history submitted by the son of Samuel Salvo, shares that his fondest memory with his father was attending Super Bowl XXX in 1996 when the Cowboys won. Listen to it here.

All week, the 9/11 Memorial welcomed NFL fans from around the world. Even the hometown television stations of the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks paid a visit to the Memorial. Watch coverage from NBC Denver 9 News and NBC Seattle KING 5.
