Today marks what would have been Brian David Sweeney’s 53rd birthday. A white rose was placed in his name on the 9/11 Memorial.

Sweeney, from Massachusetts, was a passenger on Flight 175 when it was hijacked and flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center on 9/11.

In the archival video below, Julie Sweeney Roth shares the story of the handmade Viking helmet that belonged to her late husband, Sweeney. She also reflects on the importance of remembering the lives of 9/11 victims.
