Avi Schick is a member of the Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, enforcement and regulatory matters.
He has held several senior positions in New York state government. As president of the Empire State Development Corporation, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the state's economic development agency and represented the state in all aspects of significant real estate development projects.
Avi also served as deputy attorney general in the office of the New York State Attorney General, where he represented the state in significant litigations, investigations and appeals in federal and state trial and appellate courts. He led all aspects of the state's investigation and litigation involving executive compensation at the New York Stock Exchange, and was the state's lead lawyer handling all litigation related to the $200 billion tobacco master settlement agreement.
