The 9/11 Memorial Museum’s exhibition “Cover Stories: Remembering the Twin Towers on The New Yorker” will extend its run, remaining on view through fall 2018.

The exhibition, which opened in May 2017 and is located in the Museum’s South Tower Gallery, shows 33 cover illustrations by 25 artists spanning more than four decades of the evolving New York City skyline.

Featuring the illustrations of Charles Addams, Art Spiegelman, Ana Juan and Bruce McCall, among others, the exhibition takes visitors through the magazine's depictions of the Twin Towers over time, including The New Yorker’s commemoration in the years that followed the attack and the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site, which is now home to The New Yorker magazine staff and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
