Scholar Explains Why Women Are Joining ISIS

A Florida elementary school will soon receive some of the last unclaimed original World Trade Center relics thanks in part to one of its students.
After a visit with her family to the 9/11 Memorial, third-grader Ellie Brinling took home five seeds from the Survivor Tree. One of the seeds was ultimately planted at her school, Cracker Trail Elementary in Sebring, Fla., as a memorial, reports Highlands Today.
The school requested an original WTC relic after Brinling’s visit to ground zero. The artifacts the school will receive include a Marvin the Martian spaceship alarm clock that was on sale in the WTC concourse, a damaged Bankers Trust notebook and a section of steel from the towers. The school is planning a dedication ceremony on Sept. 11, 2016
"It will help the kids understand how important it was on that day and how sad it was," Brinling told The NYPost.
"We created this memorial in memory of those that survived the Twin Towers falling," Cracker Trail Elementary guidance counselor Crystal Baugh said. "We will use the memorial to remind children that like the tree, we too need to be strong and courageous every day of our lives."
