The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will host the inaugural Summit on Security presented by First Data on Sunday, Nov. 18, and Monday, Nov. 19. This summit brings together corporate and civic leaders to discuss how we make our companies, our cities and our nation safer.
We invite you to follow the summit by tuning into Bloomberg Radio for live coverage and interviews with participants. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum President & CEO Alice Greenwald will be on air at 2 p.m. with First Data Chairman and CEO Frank J. Bisignano.
As part of our ongoing mission, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is dedicated to deepening our audience’s understanding of 9/11’s continuing impact in America and around the world. While global terrorism and international conflict continues to challenge the public and private sectors, new threats have emerged. Leaders must collaborate, anticipate and respond to attacks on both physical and digital infrastructure.
The summit topics include: national security, counterterrorism and combatting violent extremism. Drawing on thought leadership in the public and private sectors, the summit speakers include Teneo Risk Executive Chairman and Former NYPD and LAPD Commissioner Bill Bratton; IronNet Cybersecurity President & CEO GEN (Ret.) Keith Alexander; 9/11 Memorial & Museum Chairman Michael R. Bloomberg; Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. Chairman & CEO Howard W. Lutnick; Former Commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM Gen (Ret.) Lori J. Robinson; and Accenture North America CEO Julie Sweet.
Throughout the year, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum routinely addresses these topics in our public programs and professional training programs for law enforcement, intelligence agencies and the military. Training programs focus on providing emerging and current leadership with historical context that can inform the significant work they do each day.
