The Lens: Capturing Life and Events at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is a photography series devoted to documenting moments big and small that unfold at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
The View: A young visitor hugs certified therapy dog, Chance, at the 9/11 Memorial. This golden retriever visits the memorial and museum regularly with his handler, Frank Shane, as a part of the museum’s educational programs. Shane and Chance share the story of Nikie, a certified therapy dog that worked at Ground Zero. Artifacts related to Nikie’s work with rescue and recovery workers are on display in the museum.
