The Lens: Capturing Life and Events at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is a photography series devoted to documenting moments big and small that unfold at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

The View: Members of the newest class of FDNY probationary emergency medical technicians stand at attention at the South Pool of the 9/11 Memorial. These visits, which became part of the standard FDNY training in 2014, tie the lessons learned on 9/11 into what it means to become a member of the FDNY 15 years later. It is one of their last steps prior to graduation.
