The Lens: Capturing Life and Events at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is a photography series devoted to documenting moments big and small that unfold at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

The View: Flowers, flags, photographs, keepsakes and other various tributes are left at the 9/11 Memorial by visitors every day. In this photo, a single yellow rose was placed on the bronze parapet which bears the names of the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11 attacks. Each night, tributes are collected by the 9/11 Memorial Museum staff and a small selection of these items are kept as part of the permanent collection of the 9/11 Memorial Museum.
