The 9/11 Memorial Museum on Thursday evening will host a sold-out public program, “The Future of the Jihadist Threat,” that explores the rise of global jihadism and the growth of ISIS.

Guest speaker Will McCants, a senior fellow and director of the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World at the Brookings Institution, will explore the ways ISIS has captured territory and influence, and the means of defeating them.

McCants served as a U.S. State Department senior advisor for countering violent extremism from 2009 – 2011, and founded Jihadica.com, an academic blog that studies the global jihadist movement.

The program is fully booked, but those unable to attend may tune in to a livestream at 7:00 p.m. EST at 911memorial.org/live.
