Museum Live Talk Series to Feature Special Forces Insider

On June 24, a senior member of the United States Special Forces will join Clifford Chanin, 9/11 Memorial Vice-President for Education and Public Programs, in conversation about the unique challenges of fighting terrorism in the next talk in the Heart of the Matter series. The Special Forces expert, whose name cannot be revealed due to security considerations, will focus on the role of special military operations in diverse theaters, including Iraq and Afghanistan.  Read more »

 Architect Mark Wagner is an associate partner at the architecture firm Davis Brody Bond Aedas,which designed the 9/11 Memorial Museum opening in 2012 at the World Trade Center site. Exploring 9/11: The World Before and After – health effects of WTC dust

 Dr. Paul Lioy is a professor and the Vice Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is also the Director of Exposure Science at the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute at Rutgers University and author of the book, “Dust: The Inside Story of its Role in the September 11 Aftermath.” During the interview, Dr. Lioy summarizes the different phases of exposure in the days and weeks after 9/11, emphasizing the features and health effects of the World Trade Center dust.  Read more »
