Anne Stenersen, a senior fellow at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment and author of “Al-Qaida in Afghanistan,” will discuss the future of the al-Qaeda terrorist network at the 9/11 Memorial Museum Tuesday night in a special program.
In conversation with Cliff Chanin, executive vice president and deputy director for museum programs at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Stenersen will discuss how al-Qaeda remains active, adapting their operations and priorities in the Middle East, and the continuing threat the organization poses to American security.
Danielle Hodes, manager of public programs at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, and Harriet E. Berg, Norwegian Consul General, will introduce the program, and an audience Q&A will follow.
This discussion, which will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Museum auditorium, will be livestreamed at www.911memorial.org/live.
This public program is supported by the Norwegian Consulate General New York.
