Teacher Professional Development Workshop

The 9/11 Memorial Museum is pleased to invite sixth- through 12-grade educators to attend Teaching 9/11 in a Changing World, a free full-day professional development conference on Thursday, June, 8, 2017. The schedule features a keynote address from Brian Dodwell, Deputy Director of the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, followed by a variety of break-out sessions led by 9/11 Museum staff.

Sessions will address a wide range of 9/11 related topics, including the enduring repercussions of the attacks, strategies for teaching 9/11 through primary sources, bridging the gap between history and memory, and media literacy.

The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All participants receive free curricular materials at the completion of the program.
