Theater of War Performance to be Held at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum

Kathryn Erbe, Bill Camp and Jumaane D. Williams will participate in a special performance of Theater of War at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will host a special performance of Theater of War on Monday, November 8, as part of the annual Salute to Service, a weeklong tribute honoring veterans, active-duty members of the military and their families.

The performance in the 9/11 Museum auditorium will feature actress Kathryn Erbe of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” actor Bill Camp of HBO series “The Night Of” and Brooklyn council member Jumaane D. Williams reading from Sophocles’ “Ajax.” An ancient Greek play about the suicide of a great and respected warrior, “Ajax” will serve as a catalyst for facilitated town hall discussions about suicide, combat stress, alcohol and substance abuse and the effect of war on families. The performance will be followed by a powerful audience discussion led by a panel of 9/11 and military community members.

Over the past five years, Theater of War has staged nearly 400 performances in the U.S., Europe and Japan, and trainings have been attended by more than 70,000 service members and veterans of every rank, their family members and caregivers.

Tickets can be reserved through the 9/11 Memorial & Museum event page. To learn more about the Theater of War project and pass performances, click here.
