Artist Melissa Cacciola’s forthcoming Museum exhibition of tintype portraits of the Mohawk ironworker community explores the community’s intergenerational contributions to shaping the skyline of lower Manhattan. Cacciola will be joined by Kahnawake Council Chief Lindsay LeBorgne and Local 40 Business Manager Robert Walsh to discuss the exhibition and history of the Mohawk ironworkers at the World Trade Center site.
The Museum’s special exhibition “Skywalkers: A Portrait of the Mohawk Ironworker at the World Trade Center” will be on view in the South Tower Gallery this November. Program attendees are invited to view “Skywalkers” from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
