The Long War in Afghanistan: How Does it End?

The War in Afghanistan is the longest war in American history. After 18 years, efforts have increased to find a settlement that will allow the United States to withdraw. Tamanna Salikuddin, a former State Department diplomat with long experience in Afghanistan, who now works at the United States Institute for Peace, discusses the diplomatic efforts currently taking place in Afghanistan, including U.S. and Afghan talks with the Taliban.
