ISIS without the Caliphate: What Happens Now?
From 2017–2018, U.S.-backed forces gradually liberated Iraqi and Syrian territory occupied by ISIS and its so-called caliphate. Today, the caliphate is no more, but ISIS remains active. What is ISIS without its territory? What will happen to ISIS fighters? What about the women and the children that ISIS left behind?
