News and travel media interested in accessing the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, including photographers and videographers, must receive prior written authorization from the 9/11 Memorial’s communications department by submitting the News and Travel Media Request Form at the bottom of this page. Requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that hours of operation are subject to change and media opportunities will be limited during the month of September.
• The Memorial plaza is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• The Memorial Museum is open Sunday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Equipment and Photography
All filming equipment, including tripods, must remain at least 15 feet from the names panels of the Memorial reflecting pools and at least 20 feet from the Memorial Museum entrance and exit. Tripods, boom audio and flash photography are prohibited inside the Memorial Museum. All photography is prohibited in the historical exhibition and the memorial exhibition, unless specifically permitted by communications department staff.
Interviews of employees, volunteers or visitors inside the Memorial Museum are not permitted unless prior arrangements have been made through the communications department.
Media outlets working at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum are solely responsible for obtaining rights to use images of visitors.
