A guide leads a tour group inside the 9/11 Museum.

The best way to experience the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is through an expert-led tour. All tours are 60 minutes unless noted, begin promptly at the scheduled time and are intended for adult and teenage visitors.

Early Access Museum Tour
Visit the Museum before it opens to the public for an intimate, behind-the-scenes experience. Offered several times weekly from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

"Uncommon Courage: First Responders on 9/11" Museum Tour 
More than 400 first responders sacrificed their lives to save others in the largest mobilization of emergency personnel in American history. Hear inspiring tales of courage and sacrifice from a Museum staff member.

Official 9/11 Memorial Tour
Explore the symbolism behind the Memorial’s design and learn about the history of the World Trade Center in this 45-minute outdoor tour. This rain-or-shine tour is not offered in January and February.

Youth and Family Tour
An age-appropriate program that explores the design of the Memorial, the events of 9/11 and how we commemorate the attacks. The program includes a tour of the Memorial and Museum and an accompanying interactive activity. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Offered on select dates in March, April, and in summer months. All tour participants must have a ticket.

Museum Guide for Children 
This guide helps children 8 to 11 years old understand the history of the World Trade Center, what happened on 9/11, and how the site was rebuilt. This guide does not include the Museum’s historical exhibition, September 11, 2001, which may not be appropriate for visitors 10 years old and younger.
