Experience a Tour

The best way to experience the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is through an expert-led tour. Visitors gain a deeper understanding about what happened on 9/11 and those affected through compelling artifacts and stories. 

Tours explore both the Museum and the Memorial, and each program highlights different aspects of the 9/11 story. Youth & Family Tours offered between June 24 – August 30. Reserve now.

Tour participants gain expedited entry into the Museum. All programs are in English and are intended for adult and teenage visitors, unless noted.

Museum Tour (60 minutes)

Gain a deeper understanding of 9/11, the lead-up to the attacks and their continuing global significance in the essential tour of the Museum’s key spaces.

Early Access Museum Tour (60 minutes)

Experience the Museum before it opens to the public in this intimate morning tour. During this tour, the story of 9/11 is told through monumental artifacts and the stories of those affected by the attacks. Offered daily before the crowds arrive from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

Memorial Tour (45 minutes)

Learn about 9/11 and its victims, the World Trade Center, and the symbolism behind the Memorial’s design. This rain-or-shine tour is not offered in January and February.

Memorial + Museum Tour (90 minutes)

Examine what happened on 9/11, explore the history, rebuilding, and behind-the-scenes design of the site, and learn the stories of those affected by the attacks in this comprehensive tour of both the outdoor Memorial and Museum. Participants receive expedited entry into the Museum, Coat Check, and a screening of Rebirth at Ground Zero.

Youth and Family Tour (60 minutes)

Visiting with kids? Join this age-appropriate program that explores the design of the Memorial, the events of 9/11 and how we commemorate the attacks. The program includes a tour of the Memorial and Museum and an accompanying interactive activity. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Offered April 22 to April 26, and in summer months. All tour participants must have a ticket.
