Explore Lower Manhattan with 'Downtown NY' App

Downtown Alliance launches 'Downtown NY' iPhone app.

After re-launching its website earlier this year, the Downtown Alliance created its first-ever iPhone app called Downtown NY. It’s available for free in Apple’s App Store.

The app includes shortcuts to the most common searches on Downtown Alliance’s new online interactive map. You can quickly click on “Where to Go” and search for restaurants, shops, parks, museums and much more. The results are displayed on the interactive map on our website, where you can refine your search, get directions and search nearby.

The app is also being used to provide real-time information. With Hurricane Irene arriving in the area, we’re using our new app to update residents, providing notifications on any evacuations, transit service and power outages.
