The War in Afghanistan is the longest war in American history. After 18 years, efforts have increased to find a settlement that will allow the United States to withdraw. Tamanna Salikuddin, a former State Department diplomat who now works at the United States Institute for Peace, discusses recent diplomatic efforts in Afghanistan, including the collapse of U.S. talks with the Taliban.
