While in New York this week for the Pinstripe Bowl, two college football teams – the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Boston College Eagles – honored the victims of 9/11 at the memorial and museum.

During Penn State's visit on Dec. 23, the Lions' head coach James Franklin paid tribute to Martin Worley, who played college football with Franklin at East Stroudsburg University. The team also honored Patrick Dwyer, a Penn State kicker and another 9/11 victim.

Meanwhile, the Eagles placed a red bandanna on the name of Welles Crowther, known as the "Man in the Red Bandanna," who was a lacrosse player who died helping save lives at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Both teams were also given tours of the 9/11 Memorial Museum. The Pinstripe Bowl takes place on Saturday at Yankee Stadium at 4:30 p.m. and will air on ESPN.
