From executive producers Dan Futterman, Alex Gibney, and Legendary Television, Hulu's “The Looming Tower” adapts Lawrence Wright’s Pulitzer Prize–winning book that traces the rising threat of al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and exposes clashes between the FBI and CIA that may have undermined coordination to prevent the 9/11 attacks. Starring Jeff Daniels, Tahar Rahim, Peter Sarsgaard, and Wrenn Schmidt, the limited series premiered on Hulu in February 2018. Lawrence Wright, former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Ali Soufan, and cast member Wrenn Schmidt talk about the importance of these events, which continue to shape our world today.
