Artist Melissa Cacciola’s Museum exhibition of tintype portraits of the Mohawk ironworker community explores the community’s intergenerational contributions to shaping the skyline of lower Manhattan. Cacciola, together with Kahnawake Council Chief Lindsay LeBorgne and Local 40 Business Manager Robert Walsh, discusses the exhibition and history of the Mohawk ironworkers at the World Trade Center site.

The Museum’s special exhibition Skywalkers: A Portrait of the Mohawk Ironworker at the World Trade Center was on view from November 2018 to January 2020.
