At the age of 10, a dear student of mine, Chloé BILLIOTTE, wrote a poem dedicated to the city of New York that she cherished. She was born in 2001, the year of 9/11. 10 years ago, in 2011, she asked me to compose a piece to fit her childhood poem."TWIN TOWERS"

I loved the idea, but I was not ready to start creating immediately. Given the nature of the poem theme, the task was serious and I needed time to find the right way to transcribe her feelings.
10 years later, in 2021, I discovered a miraculous airy voice of Elisabeth PETROVSKY and I found out that she also was born in the year of 9/11.

This connection of dates and events convinced me, after many years of pondering, that now, the time has come for me to fulfill my long awaited promise to Chloé, who is now 20 years old.
In a few days, I composed this vocal piece, supported by a symphonic orchestra as I was driven by a powerful inspiration. Although I have never been to New York, Chloé’s love for the city guided me.

I hope this artistic and collective contribution can help the grief of the American people, and all New Yorkers. Let’s manifest our humanity, our friendship, and solidarity to celebrate together our costly but beautiful Freedom.

In memory of the 9/11 attack: so that no one forgets.
