I photographed this scene on September 11, 2010 in Cape May. It reminds me of a poem by Dylan Thomas.
"Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
Although the excerpt above contains the word "rage", I believe that it is a call for resilience and action to not let darkness prevail - in its most metaphorical sense. The work being done on the 9/11 Memorial is an example of that "rage against the dying of the light."
