Description

I created this postcard in December of 2001. Each year on 911 I come to Ground Zero and distribute my postcard. I do it by leaving it without anyone knowing. I leave cards on the seat of the bus I ride in on and in the coffee shop where I eat. I'll leave a card in the Port Authority bathroom and on the subway down to Ground Zero. Once there I'll leave some on the fencing, the cemetary, the church and where ever I feel I can leave it without being seen. I sometimes watch people to see if they take it and often they do. That's a great feeling. I would feel so honored to have this enlarged into a flag or a large photo and have it hanging somewhere in the memorial. I am currently changing the color of the Rose to yellow for the 10th anniversary. Yellow is the color of hope and it is my hope that we as a people never go through a 911 again.
