This photograph features the Wilhelmy American Flag Glass Pipe Organ which was built by Austrian Certified Pipe Organ Builder Xaver Wilhelmy. This pipe organ features glass pipes, the first pipe organ pipes made from glass in the world. This sound sculpture featured in this photograph was created as part of a Memorial Proposal to create one working glass pipe organ pipe for each person lost during the tragic events of 9/11, to give each individual a voice.
