Following the events of 9/11, 8 of my grade 8 art students at La Jolla Country Day School asked to create a memorial to honor all the victims of the 9/11 attacks in general, and former student at our school, Deora Bodley, in particular. Their work reflected their background from our "Art & Memory" unit dealing with symbolic imagery. The work is wholly their design and a reflection of their sense of loss.
