Rachel LaBarre and Susie Nicols (Firehouse Press) inspect the paintings while they are on view in San Diego in 2012. Rachel, once an art major at CU Boulder, was an intern who helped the artist burn and prep all the blocks of wood before the painting began. This was the first opportunity for Rachel to see the end-product of her efforts.
