Description

In my view the photo is perfectly appropriate for the commemoration because of the following reasons:
- the main character on the photo is a businessman, just like many victims of 9/11 and just like many people working at the WTC today;
- his age can be of someone who has or not has experienced the attack in 2001;
- does he have concrete memories of it, has he worked in the WTC, is he working there again, was he there or does he just imagine what happened?
- he symbols those who really have experienced the attack but also those who only know it by images and stories;
- you see him on the back, that makes it seem like he's looking at the past, but the photographed situation is also in the present;
- on the edge of the monument are names of victims visible;
- also the symbolic trees stand on it;
- he looks at the new WTC while he is standing in front of the monument on Ground Zero
- the man stands alone and stares into the distance. Where is he thinking of?
