Although the Tribute in Light takes place atop a parking garage near the Brooklyn-Battery tunnel, I have decided to build the spotlights within the Memorial pools, as that was where the Twin Towers had stood. As this is Minecraft, I could be as creative or abstract as I want, but I chose to go for realism. I started this project to honor the 2,977 victims of the 9/11 attacks, and I feel the best way to do so is recreate this somber site as accurately as possible. The project is nowhere near complete, as I plan on doing the entirety of Lower Manhattan, but I decided to start with the World Trade Center site as it is most important to me.
