A ground breaking of the 911 Responders Remembered Park is set for tomorrow in the Suffolk County community of Nesconset, according to a 9/11 advocacy group.
Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Suffolk Legis. John Kennedy (R-Nesconset) and other elected officials will used golden shovels to move dirt on the proposed park, according to the FealGood Foundation, the advocacy group hoping to raise $100,000 to build the green space. The elected officials will greet 9/11 victims' families at the ground breaking event, which will include a barbecue and walk-a-thon, officials said.
