Statement of Work
Collage developed from newspaper clipping that emotionally related to my experience. In a way this project helped me process what I had seen and what I heard.

I was born in NYC. Lived in the Bronx in my early years- throughout High School. I am a doctor- podiatric foot and ankle surgeon/ as well as someone interested in the arts.
When 911 occurred , I was able to volunteer and work two shifts with my son and nephew at St Pauls-( literally in the back yard of 911 )treated foot and ankle problems in the firefighters, police officers and recovery crews. It was quite an experience. Worked two 10 hours shifts- each evening went out on a ATV with a policeman- mostly in silence- maneuvering through the devastation . I will always recall the faces and stories that were shared with me during those hours.
The art collage that I made represents my reaction to what I saw and experienced.
