                                September Mourn

    “No Day Shall Erase You From the Memory of Time”  (Virgil)
 

Some days are meant to 

be remembered - birthdays, 

anniversaries, graduations, 

to name but a few.  Some days 

are never to be forgotten.

The sky was brilliant blue,

filled with Fall freshness.

The sky spiraled into darkness,

swollen with smoke and sorrowful 

loss.

Moments of angst and anguish,  

consumed by moments of prayer 

and petition, leading to moments 

of kindness and compassion, cradling

us all.

Pictures of the lost were everywhere,

where did they go? No words could

describe the grief that was felt by

so many, so much heartache to be 

carried by all.

Twenty-five years have passed, life 

pushes us forward, but we stop to 

remember all who were lost that day 

and days following, because some

days are never to be forgotten - - -
