This is a working proposal for an intended World Fountain & 9-11 Memorial to be completed in 2012.
It will be a public plaza on the front lawn of Fire Station #32 on US Highway 1, in Hobe Sound, Florida.

I would like to present this sculpture to the worlds people. Hope, The Joy of Selflessness is my visionary expression of the combined spiritual energy of all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
In 2001, I was a senior at West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional High School in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. Since many students at my school had parents or siblings who worked in the city, the September 11th attacks hit close to home.
I made this collage from photos I shot waiting in line at the Viewing Station at Ground Zero in January 2002. Even after four months post 9/11/2001, the site was heart wrenching. This was a tribute to the Firefighters who lost their lives.
Bystander 9/11 really started with a mass email I sent out once I had gotten to safety. The World Trade Center was my subway stop, I had spent the previous day working at One Liberty, literally in the shadow of the towers.
Theodore Largman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and lived for many years within a short walk of Independence Hall. The legendary building was an inspiration for him and enhanced his patriotic feelings and love of history.
