Like everyone else I was traumatized by the events as they happened on September 11th 2001.
I was glued to the images on TV and reading everything I could in the newspapers. I could not comprehend this happening here in the United States.

"Moment In Time"

I live in the shadow of the World Trade Towers. Before they fell, there was only air between us. I often wondered whether they would land on my high-rise if they fell in my direction. They did.

Artist Statement

"Never Forget" is a song that was written as a tribute to those who lost their lives in 9/11, and a tribute to those who honor that memory every day.

George Bernard Shaw said, “You use a mirror of glass to see yourself, you use works of art to see your soul.”

I was at the Fire Station on Sept 11, 2001. I was saddened by what had happened. I will never forget my brothers that died that day nor will I forget the people who lost their lives.

Artist statement -

Don’t make something unless it is necessary, useful, and can be cleanly placed back into its natural elemental state; if so don’t hesitate to make it beautiful. If it exists Repurpose it for the Planet.

As a student at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in 1972, the desk in my dorm room sat facing the East River and lower Manhattan. Every day I watched the cranes lift the twin towers of the new WTC steadily upward.

Daniel Mudie Cunningham's work 'Hold Your Breath' was commissioned by UTS Gallery at the University of Technology Sydney for 'The Fall Before Fall', an exhibition marking the ten year anniversary of 9/11.

In Memoriam

I always wanted to write a song about the loss of my father in WTC, but none of the words seemed right, none of the notes seemed suitable.

WTC Project

I got a fascination for the Twin Towers as a young boy. The last 3 years, I am specializing in Google Earth 3d Art and currently I am creating 3d buildings in my hometown Heerlen which is situated in the Netherlands.

My grandfather arrived at Ellis Island on July 19, 1909 and settled in Manhattan. My parents were raised in Chelsea. My first job as a teenager was a messenger in lower Manhattan (remember before faxes, pagers and i phones).
