Isle of Prayers. Oil 2001. I was born in NYC and lived there for 38 years. I grew up in the Bronx and as a child and subsequent adult, Manhattan was my playground and workspace. I played in the museums and Central Park. I worked in the tall buildings.
"You can't break what we have become" was created from a pre-911 stock photo with word-art used to add text. You can't break what we have become is a straight forward statement because Americans are not easily broken.
About the Painting: "Unforgivable was produced the night of 911 with overwhelming emotion and fear. In many ways, and especially in this piece, art imitates life.
On this 12th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks I wish to share an original oil painting in monochromic red, white and blue titled “9-11”.
My 10 year old son created this replica of the twin towers out of popsicle sticks with Little Tikes Diecast cars and emergency vehicles in the two days after 9/11.
1:300 scale wooden replica of WTC towers 1&2. Model measurement are 8.125 x 8.125 width by 53.35" high with 3.09 x 5.43" core. 6 floor levels below main lobby are also included.
This is a series of only 17 blocks from the concrete slurry wall, that surrounded Ground Zero, being transformed and created into historical pieces of artwork sculptures called Project 911UP.
Just like you when I witness the event of 911, at first I thought it was some Hollywood special effects… Once I grasp the extent of it I understood it wasn’t Hollywood’s doings.
