My interest in the World Trade Center and the events that occurred on September 11th, 2001, is half a reflection of a great tragedy and half a fantastical re-interpretation of the Twin Towers themselves, inspired in part by their cultural significance

My job as an artist is to uplift your spirit and explore the mysterious presence of human emotion that lives unconsciously in the body, primarily, the hands of artists who are devoted to their visions.

When I was first asked to create 9/11 art work I was not sure I could do it. Then one day having a serious conversation about some art work I had just sold it came to me what I must do.

There have been many 911 stories, some unbelievable, some heart wrenching. Many of these stories are burned into our memories.

I started the 9/11 painting in 2003. I had always been struck by the images of 9/11 and the terrible and senseless loss of life of that day.

9/11 it so important Day for me cause of meaning that Darkness and Evil sometimes may win.
And it will be just horrible if you're not will be able to fight with Devil by mean of Light.

At Ground Zero after 9/11 I aided Suree Towfighnia in filming “Caution: 2001”. They called it a “crime scene” and barred all media. I had my sketchbook. I began to draw. The humble act of drawings they allowed.

"Mosaic After 9/11",

Shortly after the tragedies of September 11, 2001, the Special Collections Department at Hofstra University established its September 11 Project Collection and began collecting a wide variety of material related to the devastating events of that day.
