i paint mmusic... mostly... i also compose mmusic as well as poetry.

Like so many others, 9/11 is seared into my head and heart. As an artist I find I am able to express my feelings best in my art. I join the artists in each generation who spoke through their art. 9/11 has scarred us all forever.

The artist had lived in Manhattan for 22 years, but on September 11th, 2001, Dawn Siebel was in her new home in the mountains of Colorado. Like millions of Americans, she sat frozen in front of her TV watching the terrible day unfold.

A Statement About My Work

I am concerned with communicating a sense of harmony, balance, order and spirituality.

"When The Towers Rise Again" was written to Honor the Heroes and Victims of the 9-11 terror attacks.

RISE ABOVE

My feeling about America is in this poem and photograph of the American flag, Now and Forever. I saw the flag at a construction site opposite my home on East 24th Street just two miles north of Ground Zero.

My interest in the World Trade Center and the events that occurred on September 11th, 2001, is half a reflection of a great tragedy and half a fantastical re-interpretation of the Twin Towers themselves, inspired in part by their cultural significance

My job as an artist is to uplift your spirit and explore the mysterious presence of human emotion that lives unconsciously in the body, primarily, the hands of artists who are devoted to their visions.

When I was first asked to create 9/11 art work I was not sure I could do it. Then one day having a serious conversation about some art work I had just sold it came to me what I must do.

There have been many 911 stories, some unbelievable, some heart wrenching. Many of these stories are burned into our memories.
