Artist paints way through tragedy.

After the events of Septemeber 11, many people worked through their emotions in many ways. Linda Stumpf of Tega Cay, South Carolina picked up her paintbrush and began putting her emotions on canvas.

I have been to the 9/11 memorial twice. I can't find words to describe the feeling of being in that place. But on my second visit I was struck by the image of a flower above a victim's name.

Doing laundry in my basement on the morning on September 11, 2001, I was listening to WGN radio as I folded clothes when I heard a report about a plane hitting one of the Twin Towers in New York.  Confused by what I was hearing, I turned on the TV

As a former New York resident, the twin towers of the World Trade Center was a place of numerous memories for me, both personal and professional. When the towers were completed, my first visits were as a tourist with my wife.

Christy makes figurative sculptures as well as abstract sculptures using innovative material-driven combinations. She lived in the East Village in NYC for four years. Three days before the 911 attack she went to London.

Traumatized by the 911 events, I have not touch the subject until several years later. The dominant, persistent theme was a rather striking metaphor.
