Statement of Work
Niloufar Alenjery is an architect and artist who creates material-and-process-driven installations to respond to the larger social, historical, and cultural questions in the world to create a site of memory.
Alenjery’s art and architectural interest lie in the awakening of our senses and bringing what is far, near through the built space and what surrounds us. The stories we've heard in the past that shape our historical identity need to be retold over and over again so that we can bridge the gap between us and the other.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Niloufar now lives and works in Manhattan, New York, USA. Niloufar received her BArch and MArch degrees from North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND. She is a registered architect in NYC while teaching architectural design courses at NDSU School of Design, Architecture, and Art as an Adjunct Professor of Architecture.
