Unlike the elephant graveyard I saw in Kenya just days after I saw the destruction of 9/11, the graveyard of Ground Zero yielded no bones to mourn.

When my family first moved to Lower Manhattan in the late 1980s, the Twin Towers were the reference point my father gave me to find my way home.

Statement of Work ("Apocalypse Nude")

“Eyes Upon the Skyline” tells my story as a New Yorker on that dreadful day. I lived in Brooklyn and worked in Midtown Manhattan during that time and this is how I experienced that day and the days following from my own eyes.

This painting "Awakenings" was created before September 11, 2001, it was started on August 28, 2001 and finished on September 6, 2001.

To deal with the Tragedy of 9/11 I wrote this memorial.

"I took a pencil and a piece of paper and I remember that I tried to draw a face and it came out so well that I was shocked at how well it came out. I was in third grade. I must have been around nine or ten – something like that.
