Artist and philanthropist Richard Sean Manning is a prolific artist who works in a number of mediums, including ink, oil and acrylic, exotic and rare wood, metal and glass.

This is my personal memorial to September 11, 2001. For me, it provides a lasting memory of the human loss, sacrifice and heroism that made 9/11 such global inspiration.

On a clear, blue sky day, we were attacked on our soil, and within a short time, the Twin Towers were leveled leaving NYC looking dark and dismal. There were thick clouds of smoke everywhere, leaving dust and ashes in its wake.
Matsumoto’s work reflects the morphological transformations of our ever-evolving urban and ecological milieus, which could be attributed to a multitude of spatio-temporal phenomena influenced by social, economic and cultural assemblages.
