Like in New York, it was a perfect fall day in Richmond, Virginia, where I was working on September 11th. A coworker said, “Hey, come look at this,” and I joined him across the room to watch a TV newscast of the North Tower burning.

Artist Biography of Lynn Buckmaster 

Over the course of his career, John Bulmer has documented the lasting impacts of September 11th through multiple mediums, including painting, photography, and written journalism.

As a native New Yorker, resident of Manhattan, and from a Staten Island FDNY family, September 11, 2001 and the months afterwards were a fog for me.

"I enjoy the versatility that paint has as a medium. It affords me the opportunity to look at the world around me, and re-create it in a different perspective using splashes of color and value.

I'm retired from the FDNY. I've spent the past 20 years working on a sculpture of Fr. Mychal Judge consoling two firemen from a vision I had shortly after the attacks 9/11. I was befriended by Fr.

Blaine originally visited New York in February 2001, capturing images of the Two Towers in its final year. He knew this would become his second home, thus beginning his journey that he was destined for in life.

Bronna designed, and served as the project manager for the construction of, a 20.4 ft. tall stainless steel, titanium, granite and stained glass 911 Memorial monument built in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.

I designed this card after 911 and each year I come into the city and leave it randomly on park benches, bus seats, Ground Zero, and wherever I can and not be seen.

Color and light allow me to explore life through semi abstract images inspired by nature. Emotions and my unconscious rumblings find their way through the language of painting to images that evoke a sense of silence, beauty and meditation.

This short piece of music, composed by an Arab/American, uses melodic elements from traditional Arab music and combines it with Chopinian Western harmonies.
