Currently, Anne is a Director of Franklin Resources and a Trustee of: The American Ballet Theatre, Bloomberg Philanthropies, The Howard Hughes Medical Institute, The Mayo Clinic Foundation, and The National 9/11 Memorial and Foundation.

Past Boards include: Merck, Beam, American General and PHH. Anne also served as Chairman of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Vice-Chairman of the Conference Board, Chairman of The Cultural Institutions Retirement System, and trustee of The Teagle Foundation and Vassar College. Anne graduated from Vassar College in 1961 and earned a Masters in Economics at NYU in 1968. She was elected a member of The American Academy of Arts & Science in 2004, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has been awarded the Eleanor Roosevelt Medal.
