“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart will serve as honorary chairman of the third annual 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk and Family Day on Sunday, April 26, 2015. This is Stewart’s second time serving as honorary chairman.

"As a New Yorker who witnessed the rebuilding of a devastated community after 9/11, I understand the importance of supporting the 9/11 Memorial’s mission,” Stewart said. “The Run/Walk and Family Day is a simple way for all of us to come together to champion this important cause."

The 5K Run/Walk will start at Pier 26 and run along Battery Park City. Family Day will be held following the 5K Run/Walk on Greenwich Street between Cortland and Albany streets. Music and activities for all ages will be provided. There will be food available for purchase from food trucks.

Following the event, 5K Run/Walk participants will receive a 25 percent discount on Museum admission valid on April 26, 2015.
