VICE Founder Featured in 2017 Museum Programming Season

Photo of VICE founder Suroosh Alvi.VICE founder Suroosh Alvi is featured in the 9/11 Memorial Museum’s upcoming public programming season. On Feb. 7, Alvi will discuss reporting on the growth of terrorism over the past 15 years during a program called “TERROR: A Conversation with VICE’s Suroosh Alvi.” Other guests will explore an array of timely topics including the complicated crisis in Syria, current conflicts in the Middle East and how to defeat religious extremism.

The programming season begins on Jan. 18 with the Atlantic national correspondent Graeme Wood discussing his new book that explores ISIS’s theology and appeal during a program called “The Way of Strangers: Encounters with the Islamic State.” Tickets to public programs at the 9/11 Memorial Museum are free, but reservations are required.
