Give to the Collection

The Museum continues to acquire materials for its collection, such as photographs, videotapes, voice messages, recovered property and other personal effects, clothing, and uniform elements, World Trade Center workplace memorabilia, incident-specific documents, and original writings including letters, emails, and diaries that can help illuminate personal experiences during and after September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993.

Well-documented items linked to participation in the War on Terror and human health impacts from exposure to the World Trade Center site are also in our collecting purview. Please note that we can no longer accept newspapers and magazines, but recommend exploring the transfer of such material to a local or county library, high school, or historical society.

If you have materials of prospective interest to the Museum, please tell us about them using the form at the bottom of this page.

The Museum also collects materials commemorating the individual lives of those killed on September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993, many of which are shared in the dedicated exhibition In Memoriam,

To learn more about the process of donating artifacts to the collection, please refer to our FAQ page and take a moment to review the Museum’s collections management policy to learn about our collecting scope.
