David Beamer – Father of Victim Todd Beamer
David Beamer remembers his son, Todd, through StoryCorps. Todd, a New Jersey resident, was heard rallying other passengers with the phrase, "Let's roll" on United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in an empty field outside Shanksville, Pa., on 9/11. Thanks to the bravery of Todd and the rest of the passengers and crew, Flight 93 never reached its intended target, saving countless lives.

Kathleen Santora – Sister of 9/11 victim and New York City firefighter Christopher Santora 
In honor of her firefighter brother, Christopher Santora, who died on 9/11, Kathleen Santora enlisted in the Army soon after the attacks, serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. While in the Middle East, she always wore a chain belonging to her brother. In a recorded oral history, Santora talks about her brother and recalls speaking to her battalion and brigade during a ceremony in Iraq that recognized the second anniversary of September 11, 2001.

On September 11, 2001, Ester DiNardo lost her daughter, Marisa. Ester remembers how on her last night, Marisa brought her to Windows on the World on top of the World Trade Center to celebrate Ester's birthday.
